I am quadriplegic, the nursing staff is horrendous. They are harsh and abrasive when speaking. They refused to answer questions such as: What is your name? What do you do? Security refused to show ID or provide their names. I was there for 14 hrs. I was not sick, DSHS stopped paying my care providers, leaving me with no place to live. The hospital social worker did not want me there and did everything possible to make my situation worse, because they felt that I should have chosen a different hospital rather than Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center. I gave the worst review possible on a survey they sent me, and then they sent me a letter titled "Letter of Understanding" threatening to discharge me if I return. The letter was addressed to me, but there was no name of the author, hospital representative, or anything stating where it was from, other than the hospital letterhead and logo. On a prior visit, staff refused to inform the doctor I was having trouble breathing only hours after surgery. I was fortunate that a custodian came to clean my room and I asked him to call my sister. My sister then contacted the doctor. During the procedure, my lung was accidentally punctuated. This hospital is a frightening place to be if you must rely on nursing for care needs.

Not only am I disgusted with the entire US Health Care system, but went to the Hazel Dell location first with a concern of having a concussion. They told me I would have to wait a couple hours, and told me to go to this location because I could get in faster. Their office was completely empty, and it left me to keep driving even though I was extremely dizzy. But ok, get to the next office and I end up waiting an hour plus anyways due to them being behind. The PA on that day came out, started complaining loudly that she was going to get hangry (angry because she was hungry) and was complaining the entire time at her computer about not getting a lunch. And how screwed up it is that patients were scheduled during her lunch hour (me being the patient) and how she better not hear about "not taking a lunch" from corporate. This left me already feeling upset that I was still waiting while she was on her computer, but now I know she was angry with me because I was that patient that took away her lunch. Went in and she proceeded to tell me right away rudely that she didn't have the tools to check to see if I had a concussion so she wasn't sure why I came to the urgent care... I wasn't aware of the machines that were at the location, and would have loved to leave if I had known it was going to be a "waste of time" as she put it. And that if I needed any sort of scan I would have to go to the ER. She went on to say how much she has asked for those machines, but Legacy won't give them to her at that location. (again... details as a patient I don't need to know.) We met for a total of 8 minutes, after waiting for an hour plus just to find out that if I got sick then I need to go to the ER. Ok fast forward a month, I get a bill for $205. I already paid a $50 co-pay (I know all insurances are different.) But I called and asked what the heck I was charged $205 for, and they said because I was a new patient that is the fee. I have gone to Zoom care and have had an AMAZING experience, as far as no hidden fees, they tell me the cost with my insurance and I'm billed that day, and lastly I'm in and out. The moral of the story is: -The unprofessionalism in this office (besides the MA, he was super nice) is really not up to par. - The system of this "company" is broken. - And the overall experience was horrid. I did not leave feeling like my health was at the top of the priority list. It was all about money and not having enough time for lunch. This whole health care system is broke in the US there is NO doubt, but I appreciate the people in the field who are in their position to help people and who can put aside corporate issues to care for the patient.

I love Dr. Rogalette. I've seen her 3 times between my daughter and I. I definitely feel like she talks on a personal level, she doesn't rush through and she has never once been rude (which is hard to find). This lady is my absolute favorite. Thank you, Emily!
